Atop a yellow ochre plane poses a formal tower accompanied by a mesh dome containing what may be either a treble clef, an apersand, or a dollar sign; a bursting-decorated seashell; and two columns--one of which is topped by a hollow disk. The background is a menacing sky of dark green roofing material. How do these elements relate? Or are they merely bits of an organized design solution?

Clues: the ochre-enameled metal intrigued me, and demanded a prominent role in this work. Various towers (known as "follies") seen in England quite a few years ago have been unforgetable. Poetically (and artistically), everything is connected...
